Crazy Night

Well, tonight was pretty crazy. I went to La Center again and played the $4-$40 spread limit game. The moment I entered the game I knew the night would be stressful, and if I went card-dead, I really wouldn't be able to do anything at all. Needless to say, I lost $200 in under half an hour, which is actually sort of a record for me. I think I've only done that in poker like once or twice online, $200 being a reasonably large sum of money for my level of play.

Anyways, the players were awful, I lost one hand where I had pocket 4's and spiked my four on the flop... and had a guy betting into me the whole time. Anyways, I was more than happy to get all my money in on the flop and what does the guy have? K high. I can't lose unless he catches runner runner J-T for a straight. haha, need I tell you more? That was like the 4th hand I played.

So I bought in for my 3rd hundred for the night and said that was it, if I lost that, then tonight wasn't my night and I would go sulk at home and comtemplate why I want to do something this volatile for a living.

I ended up flopping a full house a little while after that and raked in a $290 pot, which basically meant I was back to even. After that I fluctuated a TON, mostly between the $200 and $300 levels. I eventually decided the table was too stressful, my brain was starting to get tired, and at least I had a small profit. So... that was my amazing experience at La Center. Stats? fine...

Cash Bankroll Starting Balance: $1200
Cash Bankroll Ending Balance: $1300
Absolute Poker Balance: $115.64
Full Tilt Balance: $807.60
Plus or Minus for the night: +$108
Plus or Minus for December online: +$85.65
Plus or Minus for December live: +$570
Plus or Minus for December: +$655.65

As a quick note about my money, I'm not using ALL of my money earned to build my bankroll up. I really DO want to build it up but I also have expenses, so if you see some incongruity in my numbers, I probably spent a few of the dollars I earned. Alright... cool. Peace out.

La Center... woot.

Tonight I played the $4-$40 spread limit game at La Center once again. It isn't really a hard game to play, it's pretty similar to No Limit, though the bets are limited to $40 a pop. The players are far from spectacular there, and I've had reasonably good success there thus far. Tonight was not really that different.

They started a new table just about right when I got to La Center today, and right off the bat it was entirely nuts. Everyone was betting $40 pre-flop all the time, and there was literally a time that you couldn't see a flop for less than $10, it was a very very loose game. Just the sort that I normally thrive on.

The problem is, with a loose game like this, you have to have at least a FEW cards or you lose a lot of money really fast. Which I did. I lost about $150 in the first half hour, not having caught even one pair the entire time and feeling very frustrated that there was so much money being thrown around and I was powerless to get my hands on any of it. I finally caught KK and suddenly I had my original $200 back in front of me plus $3 to pay the next blinds.

The rest of the night was pretty much a grind, and... despite a pretty dry spell of cards the entire night, I made steady progress. Here are my stats for the night:

Cash Bankroll Starting Balance: $1000
Cash Bankroll Ending Balance: $1262
Absolute Poker Balance: $115.64
Full Tilt Balance: $807.60
Plus or Minus for the night: +$262
Plus or Minus for December online: +$85.65
Plus or Minus for December live: +$462
Plus or Minus for December: +$547.65

I'm fricking rich. Woot.

Noying night!

Wow, tonight was pretty irritating. I went from up $50 the second hand, to down to like $43, up to $300, down to $72, and so forth ... all night. I played about 6 or 7 hours, and though I must have hit about 5 sets, I couldn't get any of them to pay. I went through a 4 hour cold streak in the middle, hitting nothing, barely breaking even. At the end of my night I was pretty frustrated, only having made $200 for a pretty annoying night.

Tonight there were actually a couple (2) good players, the best I've seen at La Center so far anyways. They seemed to know what was going on, and I didn't really enjoy my hands I had with them, mostly because I never had anything when they did. I had one huge hand where I would have pulled in a good $700 pot if I had hit my flush draw, but I didn't and I lost a lot of money. Still, someday I'll win a pot like that and.... it'll be awesome lol. Obviously.

Alright, my mind is sort of dead right now, so I'm going to post the stats now:

Cash Bankroll Starting Balance: $800
Cash Bankroll Ending Balance: $1000
Absolute Poker Balance: $115.64
Full Tilt Balance: $807.60
Plus or Minus for the night: +$200
Plus or Minus for December online: +$85.65
Plus or Minus for December live: +$200
Plus or Minus for December: +$285.65

well, at least I'm in the positive haha. I need to start playing more tho if I want to consider living off of poker.... night all.

A few days at once

Well, I played online like 3 times since now, and I'm sad to say that the first two days I did badly and lost around $50, but today I did better and was able to bring myself back into the green. I don't have a lot more to say now except that the internet here is really slow and it keeps screwing me out of a few hands every circuit cuz it doesn't pay blinds fast enough. So I think I'll just chill with my balance as such and just play live from now on. I think I'll stay at the $0.25/$0.50 until I get my account up to $1000, then venture into the $0.50/$1 game. This game is pretty beatable, but it feels like I'm playing for almost nothing. Hard to care when you aren't playing for much. Alright, stat time I suppose.

Bank Account Bankroll: $800
Absolute Poker Balance: $115.64
Full Tilt Starting Balance: $794.30
Full Tilt Ending Balance: $807.60
Plus or Minus for the three sessions combined: +$13.30
Plus or Minus for December: +$85.65

I'm so rich.
