Pretty Reasonable Day

Well, I haven't really posted on here for a while, but I'd like to change that, so I guess I'll write about my day yesterday, where I played about 6 hours, and did pretty well for myself I suppose.

I've been playing at a bunch of different websites lately, and gotten into this thing called 'rakeback'. I guess first I'll explain what 'the rake' in poker is first. It's a percentage of each pot that the poker website takes for itself out of every hand, with the general maximum being about $3 per hand. Rakeback is a website that allows you to make some of that money back. I've been getting a 33% rakeback at a website called Cake Poker lately. It's not really the greatest website to play on, and I'm not really enjoying it a WHOLE bunch since the software is really slow and I don't get to pick where on the table I get to sit (on other online pokerwebsites, you sit down at the table, and it's configured to rotate everyone around so that you only have to look at one place each table to look at your cards, so you aren't constantly trying to figure out what cards you have). I've been doing well on it thus far though, and most of the players are far from complex.

My favorite thing from yesterday though, is that I've been out of money on PokerStars for a while, and haven't really felt like reloading it at all. Yesterday, I entered a few FPP (Frequent Player Points) tourneys that don't cost money to get into, just player points. I was able to get 11th in a 4500 people tourney, netting me around $2, and 30th in a 2300 people tourney, netting me around $4, and so now I have money. I would have for sure placed higher in the one I took 30th in, but my AA ran into JJ, on which he spiked a Jack on the river to send me packing. I'd have been #1 in chips overall had I won that pot. Maybe I'd have been able to take the $300 prize for first too. haha, wishful thinking. I'm just happy that I've been able to get a LITTLE money on the site, and now I'll start playing $1 Sit and Go's and try to build my stack up.

All this being said, I'm going to post the stats and then call it a day! Peace out!

So, I'm not sure I understood everything you said. BUT, I'm happy you placed 30th (atta boy!), and I'm happy you're blogging again. AND I'm happy in general. OUT!
